College Squash Returns From Winter Break

CSA logoThe first full weekend of College Squash Association (CSA) match play following the students’ return from winter break kicked off Wednesday evening with an exciting match between unbeaten teams as No. 3 Yale University visited No. 6 Franklin & Marshall. Yale were able to hold off F&M 6-3, but the Bulldogs needed to pull out four five-game matches in order to do so.

Yale will look to continue their success at home this weekend with matches against Ivy league opponents Columbia and Cornell, while F&M head to No. 1 Trinity for a showdown with the reigning national champions on Saturday.

Among other Men’s action, No. 10 Dartmouth College look to hold their position against visiting No. 13 University of Pennsylvania, while No. 18 Williams College heads north to take on No. 12 Bates College and No. 21 Bowdoin College.

On the Women’s side, teams also get back into full swing with over twenty matches being played. No. 24 Colby College hosts No. 20 Bowdoin College on Friday to kick off the weekend with their Maine rivalry. Later in the weekend, No. 17 Middlebury College visits a Mount Holyoke College side targeting a spot in the top 20 with a home win. In Ivy league action, No. 9 Brown University aim to defend their home courts against a surging No. 11 Columbia University team, while No. 6 Cornell University travels to No. 5 Yale University.
