U.S. SQUASH Junior Development Campaign Launches Nationwide!
U.S. SQUASH has launched the Junior Development Campaign (JDC) to help meet the needs of the rapidly-expanding junior squash community.
The U.S. SQUASH Junior Program has seen great success recently: The U.S. High School Championships is now the largest squash tournament in the world, junior squash participation is up 20% to 30% annually, our membership is at an all time high, and we are more focused on increasing the quality of our events and communications than ever before.
In order to continue these successful programs, U.S. SQUASH launched the JDC to raise funds that will help provide more opportunities:
- For middle & high school programs to start - providing Junior Development Grants
- For juniors to play in college - adding programs at schools such as Columbia, Michigan, Duke, UNC, and Georgetown
- For players to represent their country - fielding our national teams for the World Championships, the Ontario-American Junior Challenge, and squads for elite junior players on a regional basis
Seventy-five percent of JDC contributions will support Junior Development Programs, which will help build organizational capacity, investment in our technology, enhancing communications, funding community and urban squash programs, and supporting our junior national teams, and 25% will be directed to the Junior Development Endowment Fund.
