The 29th annual Intercollegiate Doubles Championships will be held October 11-13 in Philadelphia, PA. The tournament will be hosted by the Racquet Club of Philadelphia and the Germantown Cricket Club.
In 2012, the University of Pennsylvania Quaker Colleen Fehm again won the mixed championship with a different Quaker Daniel Judd. The women’s division was won by Trinity’s Ashley Tidman and Natalie Babjukova in a closely contested final.
The men’s draw saw Princeton’s Todd Harrity complete an intercollegiate trifecta, winning the Intercollegiate Doubles with Taylor Tutrone and adding to his individual championship in 2011 and team championship in 2012.
The winners and finalists of men’s and women’s draw will be offered free entry and travel expenses to participate in the US Squash Doubles Championships in New York City, March 22-24, 2014, and the mixed finalist we be offered free entry into the U.S. Mixed Squash Doubles Championships in Greenwich, CT, April 27-29, 2014. This event will also offer ranking points for the SDA Pro Tour and WDSA tour (men’s and women’s professional doubles tours).
There is no entry fee and each school is guaranteed one team in the men’s, women’s and mixed divisions.
The 2013 US Open Squash Championships will be held in Philadelphia, PA, (Drexel University) from October 9-18, 2013. Entrants in the 2013 Intercollegiate Doubles Championships will receive complementary tickets for the US Open.
