US SQUASH has announced the recipients of the 2016-2017 US Squash Scholar Athlete Awards, given to high school student athletes who achieved a Grade Point Average of 3.5 in school and participated in at least four US Squash accredited events.
US Squash recognized 299 scholar athletes who participated in the junior squash season during the 2016-2017 academic year. Scholar-athletes came from public, private and boarding schools. In addition, seventeen student athletes were recognized as Scholar Athletes in all four years of high school.
All Scholar Athletes have been invited to attend the 2017 U.S Open Squash Championships presented by Macquarie Investment Management on Sunday evening, October 8th, in Philadelphia, PA, where they will be acknowledged in a special presentation.
