Last year, Philadelphia’s Baldwin school became just the third team to win the girls’ division one title in the tournament’s ten year history, and the Bears enter this year seeded to retain their title as the top seeds. Baldwin are seeded to face seven-time champions and four seeds Greenwich Academy in the semifinals. Greenwich Country Day school enter the girls’ division one as the two seeds—their highest seeding in tournament history—in search of what would be a first title for the program.
After in-climate weather forced a tournament withdrawal last year, the Brunswick bruins are seeded to win the program’s fifth middle school division one title as the top seeds. Defending champions Haverford are seeded to meet Brunswick in the semifinals as the four seeds. Philadelphia’s Episcopal Academy enter the boys’ division one draw as the two seeds in search of their first title in program history, while 2015 champions, Bronxville, enter the draw as three seeds.
