Team USA’s Olivia Blatchford qualified for the $35, 000 PSA Monte-Carlo Classic main draw Monday with her second qualifying victory over England’s Fiona Moverly in the principality of Monaco.

The twenty-two-year-old from Wilton, Connecticut, entered qualifying seeded second, and fulfilled her seeded with two three-game victories over Switzerland’s Nadia Pfister Sunday and Moverly Monday.

Blatchford received the most difficult main draw placement possible, drawing top seed and current British national champion Sarah-Jane Perry.

The world No. 12 held off Blatchford 11-5, 10-12, 11-6, 11-3 in thirty-six minutes.
