The head coaching job is also a full-time teaching position. Canterbury offers the standard high school disciplines and require a 4-year college degree in the teaching subject matter (i.e. English, History, Science, Math, Computer Science, Foreign Language, Theology). We are a boarding school, so we offer free housing, which comes with dorm parenting responsibilities. We may be able to make it an intern position with just coaching and dorm parenting. Candidates with a second coaching area would be given preference.
Canterbury competes in the NEPSAC Division B, and the candidate would have to at least played collegiate squash in addition to having completed a 4-year degree.
School Setting: Canterbury is a co-educational, boarding high school (9-postgraduate) located in northwestern Connecticut, approximately one hour northeast of New York City. The school is comprised of approximately 320 students (of whom two-thirds are boarding), possesses fine facilities, and is committed to the continuing education of the faculty.
