Silver Junior Nationals Draws
Two hundred and ninety-three junior players converge on Stamford, Connecticut, this weekend for the 2016 U.S. Junior Silver Squash Championships hosted at The Squash Club at Chelsea Piers and Squash Alley.
Entry was restricted to the top thirty-two entrants ranked No. 33 and below in U11, U13, U15, U17, and U19 age divisions.

The William T. Ketcham Jr. Award – Honorable Mention for Most Improved Player will be presented to players who have demonstrated complete dedication to the sport by significantly raising the level of their game. The boy and girl in each division who displayed the largest jump in ranking from March 11, 2015 to February 24, 2016 and also qualified for and competed in that division in the 2016 U.S. Junior Silver Squash Championships will receive the award. Please note that in order to be considered for this award, players needed a ranking in the same division on both March 11, 2015 and on February 24, 2016. This year’s recipients are:
Boys’ Under 11 – Carlo Caffuzzi (improved 42 positions)
Boys’ Under 13 – Griffin L. Johnson (improved 45 positions)
Boys’ Under 15 – Cameron Darnell (improved 115 positions)
Boys’ Under 17 – Russell Scharf (improved 93 positions)
Boys’ Under 19 – Wallace T. Miller (improved 87 positions)
Girls’ Under 11 – Poppy P. Huffman (improved 18 positions)
Girls’ Under 13 – Sophia Lee (improved 61 positions)
Girls’ Under 15 – Margaret Y. Pearson (improved 50 positions)
Girls’ Under 17 – Jackie Brenner (improved 76 positions)
Girls’ Under 19 – Natasha Lowitt (improved 17 positions)
