Job Opening: Full Time Assistant Squash Professional
The Round Hill Club, founded in 1922, is a private, member-owned Club located in Greenwich, Connecticut, USA and is recognized as one of the country’s premier clubs. RHC offers a wide range of activities for its membership including dining, golf, shooting, wellness and fitness, indoor and outdoor tennis, platform tennis and squash. The squash facility has three modern, well maintained singles courts and a North American Hardball doubles squash court. The squash program boasts one of the strongest junior programs in the country, with over 130 kids playing regularly. Many of them compete scholastically and represent the finest high school and collegiate squash programs in the nation. The Club hosts a yearly PSA singles and SDA Pro Doubles event as well as being the host of the US Mixed Doubles Nationals from 2013-2015 and Father/Son Doubles Nationals in 2018.
Located only 45 minutes from New York City, the Club is in the heart of squash on the East coast. The successful candidate will assist the Head Professional by teaching lessons, clinics, pro shop management, tournaments, event execution, exhibitions, and other duties relating to the running of this highly regarded squash program. Many past RHC Assistants have advanced from this position to lead their own programs at recognized facilities.
The Assistant Professional’s responsibilities will include, but not be limited to, teaching lessons and clinics to both junior and adult players of all abilities, helping to organize the junior clinic program, performing Pro Shop administration duties, conducting general communication and marketing tasks with membership, traveling to various tournaments, organization the Club and National tournaments and generally enhancing the member experience by proactively engaging the membership, and their guests, in all things squash related.
