Team USA’s Sabrina Sobhy surged to win the largest PSA World Tour title of her career—the $11,000 E.M. Noll Classic—February 18, at the Racquet Club of Philadelphia.

The second edition of the tournament doubled the prize money from $5,000 in 2018 to $11,000 for both the men’s and women’s draws.

Sobhy, a Harvard senior, entered the draw as the two seed, opposing Egypt’s top seed Menna Hamed. Sobhy, who has been ranked as high as world No. 47, emphatically captured the title, not dropping a game the entire tournament, including a twenty-three-minute 11-2, 11-3, 11-4 final against six seed Menna Nasser.

The title marks the Sea Cliff, New York-native’s second career PSA title, following up the $5,000 Mercedes of Scottsdale Tournament in 2013.

The men’s draw produced another collegiate champion in the form of Princeton’s Youssef Ibrahim. The nineteen-year-old Egyptian defeated Columbia graduate Ramit Tandon in the final after the Indian was forced to retire in the third game due to injury.
