The 2017-2018 college squash season comes to a close this weekend with the 2018 College Individual Championships at Squash on Fire and George Washington University in Washington, DC.

160 college players representing thirty-two men’s programs and thirty women’s programs are set to compete across ten divisions: the Pool Trophy (Men’s A), the Ramsay Cup (Women’s A), Molloy Cup (Men’s B) North, East, South and West, and Holleran Cup (Women’s B) North, East, South and West.
University of Pennsylvania’s Reeham Sedky is predicted to reach her second consecutive Ramsay Cup final, and win what would be her first college individual national title. Last year, Harvard freshman Georgina Kennedy upset Sedky in the final as the two seed. Kennedy, an English international, will defend her title as the three seed with a predicted semifinal against Princeton’s two seed Olivia Fiechter.
Defending Pool Trophy winner, Columbia’s Osama Khalifa, was forced to withdraw due to injury this week following last weekend’s team championships, guaranteeing a first-time champion.
Trinity No. 1 Kush Kumar, who missed the 2017 tournament due to injury, enters the 2018 draw as the title favorite. Princeton freshman Youssef Ibrahim makes his college individuals debut as the two seed. UPenn freshman and two-time U.S. junior champion Andrew Douglas slots in as the three seed.
