Sedky Qualifies for PSA World Championship With Russian Challenger Title

Team USA’s Reeham Sedky made a winning start to her first season as a full-time touring professional, claiming the $6,000 MTC Russian Open title, August 10, in Moscow.

Sedky, who graduated from Penn this spring, marched through the draw as the two seed, clinching the title without dropping a game, including a 3-0 final victory over Brooklyn-based Finn, Emilia Soini.

By winning the PSA Challenger title, the Sammamish, Washington-native now qualifies for her first career appearance in the CIB PSA Women’s World Championship taking place next to the Pyramids in Cairo, Egypt, October 24-November 1.

The Russian Open title is Sedky’s fourth career PSA title and third of 2019.
