Skill Level Champions crowned in Baltimore

John Musto of  New York defeated hometown hopeful Patrick Bedore, 4-11, 11-1, 11-7, 11-7, to win the 6.0 Division at the 2012 US Squash Skill Level Championships in Baltimore, MD.  Champions were crowned in ten draws as the top skill level players in the country competed at the Meadow Mill Athletic Club. Musto, the second seeded club pro,  proved too much for Bedore, steam rolling the Baltimore native after dropping the first game. Bedore reached the final by upsetting top seed Joseph Ehalen in a thrilling semi-final, 8-11, 11-9, 9-11, 11-4, 11-8.

In the Women’s 4.5 Division, Susan Lawrence of of King of Prussia, PA, defeated Julie Kessler of Ivyland, PA 5-11, 11-9, 11-5, 11-5, while Barbara Keil of Kinnelon, NJ, stopped Jessica Galitzin of Baltimore,  11-5, 11-6, 11-6, to take home the top prize in the Women’s 3.5 draw.
