On Sunday April 12, StreetSquash will host the fifth Annual StreetSquash Junior Cup—an invitational team tournament—that brings together high school and middle school squash players and StreetSquash students through competition, community service and fun.

The tournament will feature players from a variety of schools and clubs, including: the Harvard Club, Princeton Club, Yale Club, Piping Rock Club, Union Club, SquashRx, the Dalton School, Riverdale Country School, Ethical Culture Fieldston School and squash players from Fairfield, Connecticut.

The StreetSquash Junior Cup Team members have worked tirelessly to reach their fundraising goal of $50, 000, which will support the 250+ Harlem public school students who participate in the StreetSquash P.E program.

Marcus, age eleven, will be participating on the “Sultans of Swing, ” middle school team this Sunday and is “beyond excited” to play on a squash team this weekend. Marcus has gone above and beyond the expected fundraising efforts, aiming to singlehandedly raise $600 for the Sultans of Swing team. “The cause is very important to me, ” says Marcus, “I play squash at StreetSquash every Sunday and I really love it!”
