Team USA Announces World Juniors and Pan Am Juniors Squads

2019 U.S. junior champions Thomas Rosini (l) and Olivia Robinson will represent Team USA at the 2019 World Junior Championships this summer

The junior squads representing Team USA at the 2019 World Junior Championships and 2019 Pan American Junior Championships have been announced.

Six boys and girls will compete in the biennial Women’s World Junior Team Championship and annual Men’s and Women’s World Junior Individual Championships, July 30-August 9, in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.

Women’s World Junior Team: Marina Stefanoni (team and individuals), Elisabeth Ross (team and individuals), Olivia Robinson (team and individuals), Caroline Spahr (team and individuals), Serena Daniel (individuals), Lucie Stefanoni (individuals)

Men’s World Junior Individuals: Thomas Rosini, Ayush Menon, Dillon Huang, Nick Spizzirri, Myles McIntyre, Dana Santry

Both squads are led by six returning World Juniors veterans and both U.S. junior champions. The women’s junior team sees 2018 individual quarterfinalist Marina Stefanoni return to the world stage for her fourth World Juniors campaign at sixteen years old. Stefanoni will mark her second women’s world junior team appearance as the only returning member of the fifth-place-finishing 2017 squad.

Olivia Robinson is set to make her debut at the World Juniors following her maiden U19 U.S. junior national title this spring. Elisabeth Ross is set to make her third straight appearance at the World Juniors–her first as a part of the women’s world junior team. Caroline Spahr returns for her second World Juniors and joins the women’s world junior team competition for the first time.

Sixteen-year-old Serena Daniel and fourteen-year-old Lucie Stefanoni join the women’s world junior individuals field in their tournament debuts.

The women’s world junior team will be led by national coaches Scott Devoy and Aisling Blake.

The men’s world junior individual squad sees three returning members of the 2018 world juniors squad, including U.S. junior champion Thomas Rosini and Ayush Menon who were a part of the record third-place-finishing 2018 men’s world junior team. 2019 U.S. junior finalist Dillon Huang returns to the world stage for his second straight men’s world junior individuals.

Seventeen-year-olds Dana Santry, Nicholas Spizzirri and Myles McIntyre will all make their World Juniors debut in the men’s individuals.

The men’s squash will be led by national coaches Alex Stait and Luke Butterworth.

Eight boys and girls will compete in the annual Pan American Junior Championships, June 17-23, in Toronto, Canada. The U.S. delegation will feature an entire squad of Pan Ams debutantes. The Pan American Junior Championships have seven gold medals on offer: boys’ and girls’ team, boys’, girls’ and mixed doubles, and boys’ and girls’ individuals. Team USA will aim to build on five bronze medals at the 2018 Pan Ams in Brazil.

Boys’ Pan Am Juniors Squad: Maxwell Orr, Spencer Yager, Conner Stoltz, Jacob Bulbulia
Girls’ Pan Am Juniors Squad: Binney Huffman, Renee Chan, Molly Stoltz, Nina Mital

The boys’ and girls’ teams will be led by national coaches Fabio Cechin and Madeleine Perry.
