University Club of Chicago Seeks Squash Professional

The University Club of Chicago is seeking a squash professional to join our experienced professional team. Our successful robust program has over 350 players and a very active junior and adult program for singles and doubles players. The Club has six singles and one doubles court. The successful candidate will have outstanding interpersonal and organizational skills and a passion for coaching squash.

Experience and Skills:

  • PSA Tour or collegiate play experience preferred
  • At least 3 years coaching experience, 5 preferred
  • Coaching Certification or 10+ years of experience from a governing body of squash
  • Minimum 5.0 level of play
  • Experience working with all levels of junior and adult players
  • Hardball Doubles experience preferred
  • Must have a High School diploma or equivalent
  • Must have command of the English language
  • A pleasant demeanor and the ability to communicate well with peers
  • Ability to assist and sometimes lead administrative programming tasks (promotion, registration, budgeting, billing, etc.)
  • Familiarity with basic programs like Microsoft Excel and Word

Essential Job Functions:

  • Plans and coaches instructional programs for groups and individuals
  • Organizes, administers, and officiates tournaments, exhibitions, and inter-club and intra-club social events
  • Must have a passion for coaching junior players to their potential and help them develop as people.
  • Administers and enforces the policies and procedures regarding play on Club courts
  • Travel to coach junior players at tournaments outside of Chicago
