Presented in “beta” version for nearly a year, US Squash has decided to offer all benefits related to Club Locker as part of regular individual membership, and raise its national dues. US Squash will continue to offer the currently available features and benefits related to Club Locker as part of regular individual membership, and raise its national dues from $65 to $79 annually, effective October 1, 2015.
In the past two years, US Squash has continued to invest in technology, which has allowed it to enhance the services provided to members. Initially planned as only delivering premium services to a subset of the community for an added monthly fee, the main product of these investments, Club Locker, has emerged as one that offers broad features and benefits the entire membership and community even more with expanded adoption and use. These features include an officiating app, access to Live Scores, Player Tracker and other tools to find match partners and enhance people’s experiences in the game.
US Squash has opted for this shift in approach in part due to the increasingly wide adoption of Club Locker as the central system at clubs across the country for court reservations (more than forty currently use it), coupled with the desire to provide these additional valuable features to the entire membership, and to keep pace with general cost increases.
The national dues will be supplemented by an additional charge of $20 by local district associations for a total base annual membership fee of $99. This base fee will be shared on a fixed percent basis with local district associations that work cooperatively with US Squash. Districts will also have the option to charge additional local fees at their discretion. This shift will allow the local-national collaboration to provide flexible pricing structures to bring new members into the game, thereby increasing the positive impact both US Squash and districts will have on the sport. US Squash and its District Committee are also working towards a comprehensive service agreement to enhance the working relationship between US Squash and Districts.
Beyond the newly added benefits in Club Locker, US Squash remains committed to providing an exceptional value proposition to its members, including Squash Magazine and some valuable discounts on hotels, car rentals and more. For more information on Club Locker click here.
