Nineteen-year-old Englishman Nick Wall won the first PSA title of his career at the $6,000 Life Time Vegas Open, Sunday, November 24, at Life Time Athletic Summerlin in Nevada.
Making his U.S. Pro Series debut, the world No. 153 entered the twenty-four-player draw as the tournament’s three seed.
In the semifinals, Wall took out Canada’s top seed David Bailargeon in a five-game upset, 9-11, 11-7, 11-5, 4-11, 11-9 in seventy minutes, to set up a final against American two seed Faraz Khan.
In the final, Wall pulled off another upset over Khan, the world No. 108, 11-6, 11-7, 7-11, 11-5 in fifty-nine minutes.
The Las Vegas Open final marked just Wall’s second career PSA final appearance.
2019 saw the Las Vegas Open return to the PSA calendar for the first time since 2015 in what was the fourth edition of the tournament.
